So we are finally into 2012 - the year the Olympics returns to London!
It is fair to say that the economic climate has been an issue in the events world, with clients typically shortening event lead times - generally not a problem but it does start to limit availibility and in some cases increases costs.
At events2: we have been working hard with our venue partners to reduce onerous booking conditions and, in particular, looking at cancellation clauses, to ensure that clients with changing circumstances are not being caught out if they are unfortunate enough to have to cancel or reschedule their events.
The signs of growth are starting to peek through the clouds - the government has just produced its first public spending surplus for a long time and it appears that some of the business confidence is returning.
The Olympics in the Summer is certainly starting to have an effect with clients beginning to plan how to take advantage of the 'Olympic Feelgood Factor'.

We have been approached to develop some Halloween activites for a National Attraction. How to entertain up to 2,000 people on a wet evening (presumably!) in October?
Looking forward to developing ideas (of which we came up with plenty very quickly!)

Did you know that we can get official tickets for all top events , sold out or not! We have access to all of the topshows and events, even at short notice. The prices of some of these events are obviously demand driven but if you 'must' have them, we can get them. Call with your requirements, however ridiculous it might seem!

We recently returned from a very successful trip with 40 Top Performers from Marshall Motor Group. The Client was delighted and immediately asked us to look at a destination for the next trip in November of this year.
A straw poll of some of the employees had suggested that Prague was a favourite. After carefully choosing our words, we suggested that this perhaps might, on the face of it, sound attractive, but in reality prague isn't a particularly inspiring destination to deliver a 'Once in a Lifetime' experience.
Well what's the alternative? We were asked. Our response was - See the Northern Lights from Iceland on a Glacier!
All was good and the proposed trip was received well by the decision makers.
The very next day and what happens? A Volcano erupts in Iceland!
A few anxious phone calls later and we were being convinced by the Icelandic Tourist Board that we now truly had the 'Once in a lifetime' experience -'See the Northern Lights from Iceland on a Glacier along with an erupting Volcano!' - Now that is exceptional creative thinking!!

The Autumn is typically a busy time for Conferences and it's no different for Events2.
The largest of our UK Conferences this year will take place at a top 5 star London Hotel and will involve delegates attending from all over the World.
Events2 are handling the event in its entirety from travel, hotel, accommodation logistics and delegate management through to design, staging, production, audio/visual requirements and event management.
The 5 day event will culminate in a Gala Dinner to celebrate the end of a fantastic event.

We have had a busy Summer so far and with one exception have been blessed with fantastic weather. We have worked in Tower Bridge at 40m above the roadway for a James Bond Themed party, produced an It's a Knockout event with the original 1970's BBC costumes, we have had Honda Pilots and Segways on events and even had our guests rolling across a field in a giant 4 ft diameter steel cage!
We are now into preparation for the busy autumn period. It is now that people start planning for Autumn launches, end of year parties and even Christmas. Believe it or not, availability at Christmas for larger groups is already becoming limited (unless of course your preferred date is a Tuesday morning in November!).
We can get some great deals for venues etc in August -if you are planning an event or know that you will need to do one - now is the time to sort out the venue!

As you can now see , we are live on the web with our new redesigned site.
We have added a number of new functions. The gallery pages are still being popultaed but this will be complete in the next week or so.
You can now also download a short pdf brochure see at the bottom of the page.
Please feel free to register with us, you wont get bombarded but it will provide timely reminders of what is current ,new and exciting and other things that we feel will be of interest you.

We're off at 3.30 am to the North East, A 2 day event for the Launch of the Brasher 2011 Spring / Summer Collection. Its all very secret at present but will be posting photo's of the event next week. We have some fantastic activities planned but more of that later!

Summers definitely here!
We have won two large Summer Fun Day events for Tesco, one in June for 350 and one in July for 200.
Two pitches out there for Christmas parties that we are hopeful of and a large Conference looming -fingers crossed!!
